We will continue with our short-term therapy model. This means, students will continue to have access to 8 sessions (intake and 7 therapy sessions). Instead of referring to the community for continued services, we are responding to the student body and offering an option of continued bi-weekly or monthly sessions at a subsidized rate of $50 per session for the remainder of their time at UNL. This means that the student’s UPFF is covering the rest of the cost of a therapy session (which runs $180-$250 per session in the community). We are not billing insurance. The letter attached addresses this in more detail. The students will receive this information as part of our initial paperwork packet. Please share this within your department. We are excited to offer this option and will continue to assess how the extended services are being utilized.
