Dear friends and alumni of Cedar Point - We are planning to have our second annual volunteer weekend at Cedar Point on April 24-26. This email is to inquire if you would like to join us and help get the station off to a good start this year. The things we need to do are cleaning, landscaping, tree-planting, post-construction clean-up, table set-up, firewood prep, and whatever else comes up. We will feed and house you and coordinate rides for those who want them. And we'll have a nice time enjoying spring at the station. Let me know if you are interested. Hi all - Mark your calendars for Cedar Point's 2026 events! Volunteer weekend - April 24-27 — Come and enjoy a quiet few days at Lake Ogallala while helping us open up the station. We will clean, plant trees, organize, and this year, probably assemble picnic tables for the new deck. Alumni weekend - August 14-16 — Join us to revisit friends and good times. We'll have classic CPBS activities like hikes, canoeing, tie-dyes, and a silent auction. Ogallalapalooza - September 6-7 — The inaugural Ogalllalapalooza will be the can't-miss 10k/5k, music jam, barbecue event of the year! Hi friends and alumni of Cedar Point! Join our fundraiser at Blaze Pizza in downtown Lincoln THIS THURSDAY from either 11-2 (for lunch) or from 5-9 pm (for dinner). Blaze Pizza will donate 20% of the proceeds (not including alcohol) to our Cedar Point Works fund to support student experiential internships at the station.
