Field Trip & Events Update A Special Newsletter of the Husker Summer Recreational Day Camps [Husker Kids 2024 camp logo of sun and various sports balls.] Swimming at Devaney Center We are pleased to let you know that we’ve added a field trip to the Devaney Center to swim for Session 4 – June 24-28th! Every effort will be made to have ALL grades swim Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday that week! All Grades – All Sessions – Water Wednesdays! Without access to our pool, we will have Water Wednesdays that feature time outside in the sprinklers/slip n’ slide/etc. at our recreation field each Wednesday afternoon. Happy New Year, Husker Kids Families! You have many options for summer camps, and we are thankful you choose us! We have three big announcements for you. New Software Campus Recreation has changed our management software. All families that are not associated with UNL will need to create a new account. When you create your account, please be sure to add all your family members. We encourage you to setup your account at your earliest convenience. Registration will open on February 1st at 12:01am. We're pleased to announce that will be offering space for campers going into 1st Grade starting in 2024! Space in this age group will be limited to 12 campers per session to ensure we have enough staff to best serve this age group. So, if your kiddo is currently in kindergarten, we hope you'll join us this summer! When registration opens, we encourage you to register as early as you can to secure your spot! Campus Recreation Renovation Beginning in December, Campus Recreation will be undergoing major renovation to our locker rooms. The project will add a significant amount of fitness space for our members. While under construction, we will not have access to the Campus Recreation Pool. Unfortunately, this means we will not be able to offer daily swimming as part of our schedule. We are researching options for summer 2024 and will provide updates as they become available.
