Dear Graduate Students,
Do you need to study for quals? Do you need accountability? Do you want to work with other students to study? Introducing the Qualifying Exam Discussion (Q.E.D.) seminar. This seminar is dedicated to studying for qualifying exams and is intended for graduate students but is open to all for dedicated focused work time. The intention is that we will regularly discuss and work on qualifying exam materials. In essence, it will be like a weekly qual workshop without a dedicated expert. If you've already Q'd in a topic I would kindly ask that you do not join those discussions unless specifically invited by the discussion group. The intention is to allow us to struggle on the problems and seek additional help outside of the seminar.
I'm willing to lead discussions for Algebra, Discrete, and Topology. If you would like to discuss or work on other quals please join and lead those discussions! Please fill out this survey<https://urldefense.com/v3/__https://forms.office.com/Pages/ResponsePage.asp… > (also linked below) to decide what time you would like to meet as well as if you would like to meet more than once a week. Finally, our formal email list is qed(a)lists.unl.edu which you can add yourself to or I can add you too after you fill out the survey.
