Regarding the discussion about General Counsel-approved MOUs for community-engaged learning partnerships, my center director sent this:
CCEL replaced our MOU process that had gone through OGC and Office of Risk Management approvals (sample attached) with what we refer to as our Community Partner Compliance Process <https://urldefense.com/v3/__https://forms.gle/HiCeMZwHp8NLBo2J6__;!!PvXuogZ4... > (also approved by OGC and OET) and for purposes of students being approved by their faculty or CESP for other opportunities they want to use for their programs, we created this version of it, which we refer to as the Compliance Check for One-Off <https://urldefense.com/v3/__https://forms.gle/jYzrHLwdVWQ1V73dA__;!!PvXuogZ4... >situations. Both of those forms have been updated with the new language about not being able to work with organizations that limit participation based on a protected category and are not open to anyone to participate per my meeting with Tina Marisam right before Thanksgiving.
Students also have to complete a Community-Engaged Learning Student Participation Agreement form that is built into our existing portal or via a form <https://urldefense.com/v3/__https://forms.gle/WwEZqnMmsJT9sC2Z8__;!!PvXuogZ4... >that some faculty who don't use the portal for referrals use instead. CESP Students complete a very similar form also embedded in the portal. I worked with OGC to create those as well.
