Greetings, just sharing some notes and materials for our 9am discussion.

Refreshing our approach to symposia; support systems; professional development etc to support best practices in engaged scholarship and engaged teaching.
Goals:
1. Better preparation and professional development opportunities for engaged faculty, staff and students.
2. Mitigate concerns, criticism etc. from community partners.
3. Better guidance on model practices in engaged teaching.
4. Strengthen external partnerships.
5. Better define engagement at OSU
Approach:
1. Transitioning Road Scholar program to Engaged Scholar Academy.
2. Transitioning Engaged Scholarship Symposium to Community Partner Breakfast meetings.
3. Supporting Multiple Community of Practice peer support groups.
4. Lifting up exemplars in engaged scholarship and teaching
5. Rapid response to key community partners.
6. Collaborative professional development sessions with Outreach and Engagement, the Center for Teaching and Learning and Office of Service Learning.
