Looking for a missing package
by Richard Zbasnik 16 May '25

16 May '25

Hi All, I am looking for a package sent to Richard Zbasnik (room 202) that was supposed to have arrived around April 20th. The mail distribution did send it out, but I had not gotten a notice and there was no package in the receiving area. I think (hope) someone else picked it up by mistake and still has the item. Included is a picture of the package. It is in a USPS box and should be a smaller box around a foot or so at the longest and the item inside is a flour sample for analysis. If you remember picking something like this up or have any idea, please let me know. Thank you, ----- Richard G. Zbasnik Project Manager University of Nebraska — Lincoln Food Science & Technology 1901 N 21st Street Lincoln, NE 68588-6205 Room: 202 Phone: (402) 472-4694

Looking for a cat sitter
by Anna Grace Hilton via Fdst-all-building 05 May '25

05 May '25

Hello everyone! I am heading to the Reciprocal Meat Conference on June 22nd, and I will be there for the week. I need someone to look after my adolescent kitten, Schminky. He needs someone to play with him and make sure he has food and clean litter. I would be open to him staying with someone (supplies provided) or having someone come over to check on him and play with him a few times while I am gone. My whole family is very allergic to cats, so unfortunately, they can't help. Please, email me if you would like to cat sit! -Anna Hilton

This migration has been carefully planned and thoughtfully developed over time to ensure a smooth transition and long-term success. This migration will: - Enable future-ready technology such as Microsoft Copilot AI - Streamline collaboration across campuses and units - Enhance research security with compliant cloud-based storage - Simplify access using a single login: NUID(a)nebraska.edu<mailto:NUID@nebraska.edu> This system-wide initiative—called the Future Ready Cloud Collaboration Workspace (FRCCW)—will deliver a more integrated and secure digital workspace for all NU campuses. Please share this message with faculty and staff in your unit(s). Planned Timeline November 2024: Migration process began for UNL. Fall 2025: IANR will migrate to the new platform. Now through Summer: ITS is compiling an inventory of all devices (e.g., computers, printers, servers). Please assist if contacted. May 2025: We’ll begin gathering details on SharePoint sites, Teams, shared mailboxes, and other collaborative resources. Summer–Early Fall: Watch for migration updates from IANR and ITS. 30 Days Before Migration: You’ll receive detailed instructions and reminders. Key Benefits * Future-Ready Technology * Prepare for advanced capabilities, including Microsoft Copilot AI. * Seamless Collaboration Across Campuses * Communicate more efficiently with shared tools and calendars. * Enhanced Productivity * Use integrated features like Teams, OneDrive, and Outlook across devices. * Secure, Cloud-Based Research Storage * Benefit from protected access to files via SharePoint and OneDrive. * Simplified Sign-On Experience * Use your NUID(a)nebraska.edu<mailto:NUID@nebraska.edu> for Microsoft 365, without changing your current email address. * Scalable and Unified Tools * Access a full range of Microsoft 365 services like Teams Phone and mobile apps. What This Means for You • Email Address: No change. • Username: Will become NUID(a)nebraska.edu<mailto:NUID@nebraska.edu> for all Microsoft 365 services and desktop logins. • Microsoft 365 Data: OneDrive, Teams, SharePoint, and shared resources will migrate to a new tenant. Previously shared links will need to be recreated post-migration. • TrueYou Username: Will also change to NUID(a)nebraska.edu<mailto:NUID@nebraska.edu>, unifying access for: - University devices - Office 365 - SAP/Firefly - Eduroam WiFi - Desktop and mobile apps • Shared Links & Permissions: - Internal permissions will migrate automatically. - External collaborator permissions must be re-shared post-migration. FW: Students awards
by Silvana Martini 02 May '25

02 May '25

Please help me congratulate Dr. Majumder's lab for their outstanding performance at the recent AOCS Meeting in Portland. Overall, his research group secured 7 awards during the meeting! I also want to congratulate all the UNL students that attended the meeting. People kept stopping me at the conference and congratulating me about the UNL representation! GBR! It is very fulfilling to see students being encouraged by their supervisors to participate in international conferences and putting themselves "out there" to share their research and experiences. It is great to win awards to be recognized, but I also want to emphasize that most of the times, selecting "winners" is very hard, and the important part is to "go out there" and show the world what you can do! Great job! I am extremely proud of each one of you! Congrats and keep up the good work! 25 Apr '25

Please note that there has been a change on one of the Unisex Restrooms near Suite 271 on the SW corner of the 2nd floor. The restroom nearest the stairwell door has been redesignated as a Women's Restroom rather than a Unisex Restroom. Thank you for your attention to this change.
