Thank you for celebrating this important milestone. I would especially like to give credit to Dr. Silvana Martini and Dr. Mark Stone, the department head of BSE, whose support and encouragement from the very beginning have been absolutely critical. Thanks to Loren Isom for his dedication and steady leadership during the "hibernation" stage of IAPC, which has been the driving force in keeping the IAPC alive through leadership transitions and in positioning it for this exciting new chapter.

I am excited to work with Loren, our colleagues, and industry partners as we move forward with a new vision for the IAPC and its role in advancing Nebraska’s bioeconomy.

Dear Colleagues,

I am happy to announce that the Department of Biosystems Engineering has decided to re-launch the IAPC. This achievement was possible thanks to the hard for of Loren Isom and Dr. Ozan Ciftci who worked closely with Dr. Mark Stone and industry partners to bring this Center back to life. This couldn’t have been possible, of course, without the support from IANR.

Starting on October 1st 2025, Dr. Ozan Ciftci will be named as the Interim Director of the IAPC and he will lead a visioning effort over the next several months. Loren Isom will serve as the Assistant Director and he will continue to bring his energy, experience, and expertise to the team.

Please help me congratulate the team for this outstanding accomplishment! I can’t wait to see the growth of the IAPC in the upcoming years!
